Back For My Daughter

Chapter 1219 One Behind The Kidnapping

"No...no."

The guard shook his head answering the secretary's question.

"The chief said that they saw him opening the wall plate by himself by the time they reached there."

He then said seeing Han Lao's face that turned even uglier.

"Maybe those kidnappers told him about it."

"All useless!"

Han Lao spat.

"Who was that person?"

Now that things had already happened like this, he was sure that there was no way that Li Zhiyun would let her sister be away and alone.

And with this, there were also fewer chances for him to do what he was asked to.

"I...I don't know, sir."

Han Lao was about to stand up from his chair when he saw the guard step back and then continue with a stutter.

"But... but the chief said that Miss Han seemed to know him."

The guard almost would have fallen on his butt if there was no support behind him.

"That little witch knows that person!?"

Han Lao frowned.

The first thing he could not understand was why would someone even enter the staircase.

The compartment was on the 11th floor so it was impossible for someone to take the stairs just to walk up or down without any real reason.

In fact, that person would only be considered a lunatic.

Walking down ten floors of stairs was like more than 100 stairs, it was enough to make one's legs cramp by the time they reached the ground floor.

"Everything is a big mess now, Li Zhiyun might already have a doubt that this might be related to me."

Han Lao frowned thinking.

"Sir, even if that is true, she would not be able to say anything unless she has any proof that you were responsible for ordering those men."

The secretary said while taking a look at her file.

She then continued with a glint in her eyes.

"And from the looks of it, those idiots don't seem to have any chance of living either."

By the time she finished, her lips had already curved into a smirk.

"They are dead?"

Han Lao was confused, he was sure that Li Zhiyun would not kill those in fact, the moment those guys woke up, he knew that she would make them spill out everything and then submit them to the police.

"No...sir, from these reports, those guys inhaled a high amount of tranquiliser, and have already fallen into a deep coma, and it's impossible for them to wake up for at least a month."

"Ohh, that might be just great, and that is enough time for us to make them forever forget about us as well."

Han Lao's lips curved as he nodded.

"Nonetheless, I want you to find out about this guy who saved Li Feiyun, I feel that there is definitely something fishy about him."

Han Lao frowned, taking a look at the camera footage copy which had captured an image of a young man.

"Yes."

The secretary licked her lips seeing the image on the screen.

"I definitely will."

__________

"AACHOOO"

"What is wrong with me, are there some diseases enough to even cause my immortal body to not fight against?"

Ye Qian frowned as he walked on the street.

Right now he was walking to the Xieyue food court since he hasn't met Uncle Fu and Aunt Qin all these days.

Although he had come here along with Su Ren a few days ago, he had found that the food court was rather closed.

He didn't know if a food court would be closed in the busiest time, but that surely was not a way to do good business.

But now that he was back here, he would still try to meet them.

Yuan Meng had wanted to meet them last weekend when they were planning to go to a small picnic, but that didn't happen as he had to go to Fengshun county to treat Old Mr Wang.

"Ahh, finally, I was worried that it might be closed even today."

Ye Qian's brows raised as he looked at the board named Xieyue Food Court.

"The place is really bustling with people."

Seeing the crowd of people around, he was a bit shocked.

Although it was normal for a food court to host many people at once since it was intended for food with cheap money, but Ye Qian had seen the menu a few days ago, and was sure of one thing.

The food served here was definitely not affordable for someone who earned less than 10 thousand yuans.

"Sir, do you have a table booked?"

As he entered the gate, he was greeted by one of the guards.

"Umm, I don't."

Ye Qian shook his head and then continued.

"But I am not here for eating, I am here to simply meet someone."

"Meet someone?"

The guard looked around at all the tables and muttered.

It was normal for people to hold small meetings in this place, but still, they would book a table since they had to meet.

"Sir, are you sure that you don't know the table number where you are intended to meet?"

The guard asked politely.

Those people who came here were always rich, or at least rich according to his standards.

Besides, the owner of this place was a really nice guy and would always urge them to talk with the customers politely no matter how they looked like.

"Umm, no, actually, I know Uncle Fu and Aunt Qin, they are my wife's relatives."

The guard couldn't help but raise his brows.

The other guard also noticed this and came by.

"Let me ask Mr Fu, sir, can you please wait for the time."

Although their name was known by many, but there was rarely anyone who would use this kind of method even if they wanted to enter the food court.

And even if Ye Qian looked really plain, he didn't want to come to a conclusion beforehand.

Who knew if he really was, from this guy's demeanour, he was a bit like Uncle Fu and didn't look haughty in the least, and even after waiting for a while he didn't say anything in displeasure.
