Amazing Village Building

Chapter 341: That’s our amusement park

Thus, it was decided that I would show the envoys from the Gobaldo Republic around the village. The fastest mode of travel was undoubtedly through teleportation, but…

“We had heard of the reyl ways that Luke-sama invented. Perhaps we can convince you to let us ride it?”

They requested it, so it was decided that we would be taking the train.

As such, we headed for the underground station in the capital.

“This is where we will be boarding.”

“I don’t suppose that gigantic rectangular box is…”

“It is. Riding that one will take us to our destination without us having to do anything else.”

“T-that thing can move?”

“Yup.”

Just please don’t ask me about the principles involved. I don’t have any answers for you.

Once everyone was on board, the train began to move.

“““It’s, it’s really moving!?”””

By the way, the management and operation of the railway system which connected various points within the kingdom was presently entrusted to the nation and its officials. Among other things, they were publicizing the train schedules and making sure that schedule was followed.

There were generally a lot of people making use of this service, so I went ahead to reserve a whole car for the envoys.

“For the most part, we’ll be traveling underground, but to make it easier to understand that we are actually, physically moving, we’ve made a section of the route be above the ground. Ahh, we should be surfacing soon.”

Likely because of the unchanging scenery on the windows when only traveling underground, some people thought we were using some kind of magic. And since some also expressed simply wanting to see the view above ground, it was decided that the train route would have a section that traveled along the surface.

In order to prevent monsters and people from trespassing onto the railway tracks, the above ground section was also elevated. I did this by customizing a bridge facility.

<<Bridge: a bridge made of reinforced concrete. Highly durable. Has an anti-degradation feature. It’s possible to choose the bridge’s shape and form.>>

“It’s so fast! I can see the capital shrinking…!”

“Look over there! It’s almost like the birds in the sky have stopped!”

“This certainly is faster than any horse at full speed!”

The envoys excitedly shouted so.

Before long, the train went back to traveling underground. As the view outside the windows returned to being pitched black, calm returned to Ian-san and she asked a question.

“By the way, Luke-sama, I’ve also heard that this reyl way too was made almost in the blink of an eye, but is there any truth to that…?”

“Ahh, yes, it is something like that.”

Despite being surprised that such information had spread even to foreign nations, I nodded.

Or did she hear that from the king?

“I made this with my Gift though, so even if you want me to explain the principles behind any of it, I simply can’t.”

“I see…incidentally, does your Gift also allow you to make gigantic walls in an instant? Like the so called Giant Wall in your border with the Barste Kingdom…”

She apparently also knew of the Great Wall.

“It does…of course, it’s not like I can infinitely make things.”

I say that but with the number of villagers registered at the moment, there was almost no longer any danger of my village points of being depleted.

At any rate, after about an hour of traveling—although I traded places with a body double along the way—we reached the village.

And when we climbed onto the surface, Ian-san was wide-eyed.

“This is a city built on a wasteland that was empty just a few years ago…?”

“It’s even better than their capital…”

“Look over there! Something’s floating in the sky!”

“That’s our amusement park. It’s theme is “sky”, so all of it is up there.”

“““???”””

The space-themed amusement park was a flop, so I remade it into a theme the people of this world was more familiar with.

In contrast, this sky-themed amusement park was packed with visitors each day since its reopening.

*(I was skeptical before I arrived in this country, but it would seem everything we heard from the Barste Kingdom was true…if we could somehow borrow this man’s power, our nation would surely…! Failure is simply not an option!)*

“? Ian-san? Is something the matter? You look like something’s troubling you…”

“N-no! It’s nothing! I was just so surprised!”
